This is a simple yet elegant 2 column design that harks back to the pioneer days of bleached-paper journals with decorative flourishes. Menu column may be easily placed on the left or right hand side of the page

Separating the two columns at the spine is brilliant, and I love how detailed all the little flourishes are!

I agree with Dan. This design shows a real polish, or fit n' finish that I think helps make it stand out, and appear incredibly professional.
I don't know though - I can't find the right word to describe why I like this so much - but "clean" really comes to mind.

I'm not even going to dig as deep into the design as these guys: I just really like the way this style looks! It's simple and elegant, colorful and attractive.

I liked this style so much, I updated my blog's style! I had been looking for 'clean', crisp, uncluttered, 'not-noisy' design style and Shlyapa fit the bill perfectly.
A big thank you to the author.

This one appears to have won. It's pretty neat, but I like some of the others better.
